Will alcohol be served?
When should I arrive?
If you’re joining us for our civil ceremony, we recommend arriving before Thursday so you can comfortably attend the celebration.
If you’re attending only our wedding celebration at Chapinaya, we recommend arriving on Saturday. This gives you time to settle in, explore Ajijic, and avoid any travel delays before the wedding on Sunday.
What airport should I fly into?
Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) is about 45–60 minutes from Chapinaya, depending on traffic.
How do I get from the airport to Ajijic?
Uber is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to reach Ajijic. After arriving, simply follow the signs to the airport’s designated rideshare shuttle, which takes passengers to the official pickup area just outside the airport property, where your Uber driver will meet you. The shuttle is free, well-marked, and operated in coordination with the airport. Taxis and private transportation are also available directly from the terminal.
Do I need a rental car?
Not necessarily. If you’re staying in central Ajijic, many restaurants, cafés, and shops are within walking distance, and Uber is readily available.

Yes. Mention that you’re attending a wedding at Chapinaya when making your reservation to receive the preferred rate (subject to availability).
Are there other places to stay?
Absolutely. Ajijic offers many boutique hotels and Airbnbs, and several properties feature natural hot spring water.

Late October typically brings pleasant temperatures, with warm afternoons and cooler evenings. We recommend bringing a light jacket for later in the night.
Will there be parking?

Do I need to bring a gift to both celebrations?
No. If you’ll be joining us for both the civil ceremony and our wedding celebration, one gift is more than enough. Your presence at both occasions means so much to us.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?
Absolutely! We’d love for you to capture a few special moments. We simply ask that you be mindful of our photographers by keeping your phone close to your body when taking photos, avoiding holding it high above your head, and never stepping into the aisle or blocking their view. This helps ensure our professional photos beautifully capture the ceremony while everyone can remain fully present.
